You sure can tell a difference between oils and acrylics. I don't have the facilities to enable me to do oils (or the ability yet) though I think I would love oils just because they blend so much easier than acrylics, although I know they have their own set of problems in that because of that if you're not careful you can muddy your colors. But not YOU of course.
I know I commented on your other Alla Prima portrait, and I find both to be beautiful. This one I find to be so smooth though. It's almost like velvet. Your style for these remind me of classic Renaissance painters. I simply am fascinated with your ability, style and artwork. And that you can do something like this all at once is an even greater testament to your ability.
Can I ask you a personal question? Are you famous in your country for painting? (If not, you SHOULD be) I know you've studied painting, that is what you chose to do, unlike me, who chose to be a musician then decided later in life to to tackle art. I wish I could have started earlier, but when I was going to school you had to choose between one or the other, you couldn't do both. I wanted to both so badly. I'm trying to make up for lost time now. lol
If it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't have been able to make what little achievement I've made so far. Artists like you make me want to achieve even more
